UL-Lafayette and
Cité des Arts presents the Second Annual Banned Book Reading Event. This event celebrates the American Library Association's Banned Book week--a week celebrating books that have been banned or challenged around the world. The reading will be Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 7:30pm in
Cite des Arts. It will feature English Department faculty and graduate students from ULL sharing their most beloved banned books. Some of the works include the
Bible,
Harry Potter,
Leaves of Grass, and
Lolita. General admission is $5.00, and for students with proper ID admission is $2.00.
