Dance--Performance

The Berea Festival Dancers from Berea, KY will make a one-night stop
in Lafayette on their How the West Was Fun Southwest tour. Their program consists of lively reels, beautiful waltzes, and intricate sword and stick dances performed in beautiful costumes. To add to the fun, the Berea Festival Dancers encourage audience participation. The teen folk dance troupe, from the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, performs Appalachian dance, English Country dance, English ritual dance, contra dance, Danish folk dance, and even does an antebellum set. The Berea Festival Dancers have performed at Walt Disney World, Mount Rushmore, and at various festivals around the country, as well as in Great Britian, Ireland, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Australia, and Fiji.
