Theatre(Film)--Workshop

On August 29th and 30th Shawn Nelson will be bringing a plethora of knowledge and skills to the Celtic Media Centre in Baton Rouge for his Film Acting Master Class for 2009!

A 2009 Film Acting Master Class is now forming to serve both experienced and aspiring actors in the Baton Rouge metropolitan area!

Baton Rouge native, Shawn Nelson, now a Los Angeles acting teacher and coach to stars of film and television for over twenty-five years is instructing a two-day On-Camera Film Acting Master Class, designed to bring to local area actors a wealth of professional information and valuable technique, to insure the finest performance outcome when auditioning for and performing in local film production!

Production companies want to cast locally when they can – it helps their budgets, is good for public relations, and brings them valuable local tax considerations as well.
Now is a great time to get your chops up and be ready for the next casting session! This master class is not for atmosphere extras and stand-ins, but for on-camera talent and stunt professionals looking to improve their film acting skills. Class size will be very limited (20) so that each actor will have ample time to work on camera and learn important acting technique first hand over the two-day master class.

Seminar fee is $250 for a two-day, 12 hour on-camera acting seminar. The first five to sign up get a free 7 CD audio course in acting, "The Impersonal Actor", that Shawn has created, value $100.

All applicants will be considered, with first-seating going to industry professionals, Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA members. Participants may be asked to show proof of age, 18 years or older, and no one but the participants themselves may attend the seminar. Fees are collected in advance and are non-refundable; attendees will not be refunded for any unattended days. In the event of cancellation of seminar all fees will be immediately refunded.
