(This is basically off-topic for this blog, but it is a local writer/director working locally.)
Auditions will be held for short film Billy Arlington, a top five winner in the 2007 Slamdance Screenplay Competition, written by Gina Hanchey. The story is about a dinner that is spoiled when the host serves up a plate of revenge.
The director is looking to cast the following parts:
Billy: 20’s, law student, disgruntled, suicidal, sharp-minded, socially awkward yet persuasive and sometimes even charming. Oddly attractive look.
Sarah: 20’s, law student, manipulative, social, a survivor who hides her vulnerability. Appealing but atypically attractive look.
Josh: 20’s, law student, charming, social, easy-going, all-American, not unintelligent but lacking wit, unobservant.
Neighbor: Male, 50 – 90, a flustered Barney Fife/Don Knotts type, fed up. Interesting face. Non-speaking.
The auditions will be held at Cite Des Arts on Saturday, October 3rd, 2:00 p.m.
Sides will be provided the day of audition. The audition will be filmed, and the performers must be available for shooting on the weekends in late October - November.
