Film--Auditions

(Once again, this is a little beyond the scope of this blog, but it's a locally made film and looks pretty interesting)

Auditions will be held for the short film Billy Arlington, a top five winner in the 2007 Slamdance Screenplay Competition, written by Gina Hanchey.

The auditions will take place on Saturday, September 19th at 12:00 pm, with possible callbacks on Sunday, September 20th at Cite Des Arts. Sides will be provided at the audition. Audition will be filmed. Actors must be available for shooting weekends in late October and/or November.

A short summary of the play and brief character descriptions are under the break.  For more information, contact Gina at 337-704-1355.

Story Summary: A dinner is spoiled when the host serves up a plate of revenge.

The cast consists of:
Billy: 20’s, law student, disgruntled, suicidal, sharp-minded, socially awkward yet persuasive and sometimes even charming. Oddly attractive, Fight Club Ed Norton look.
Sarah: 20’s, law student, manipulative, social, a survivor who hides her vulnerability. Appealing but atypically attractive Fairuza Balk look.
Josh: 20’s, law student, charming, social, easy-going, all-American, not unintelligent but lacking wit, unobservant.
Neighbor: Male, 50 – 90, a flustered Barney Fife/Don Knotts type, fed up. Interesting face. Non-speaking.
