Theatre--Fundraiser

IPAL is planning a 50’s era musical, Remember When. This original show will feature a cast of 40 singers, dancers, and actors  and over twenty songs performed by a live rock-n-roll band.  To get theater-goers in the mood, IPAL is also hosting a Music and Food Fest from 6:30 to 9:00 on Saturday, July 10 at the Bayou Trading Company, 225 West Main Street . There will be lots of 50’s style food, a D.J. spinning 50’s music, a live music program, wine, beer, other 50’s non-alcoholic beverages (Remember when Purple Cows, Brown Cows, and Cherry Cokes were the rage!), as well as a silent auction and some surprises. Funds will go to improvements and expenses at IPAL’s Essanee Theater as it opens its 2010-2011 season.  Tickets will cost $50 per person, and will be available at the usual IPAL outlets (Paul’s Flower Shop, Accentrics on Main Street , and Delaune’s Pharmacy) or by calling the theater at 364-6114. Only 120 tickets will be available so reserve yours early!
