IPAL's Summer Children's Theater will present A Fairy Tale Adventure by Sophia Holder in July. This interactive children's play is directed by Michael Weber and the cast includes 42 local children (ages 6 through 12). This romp through the forest features a Wicked Witch who has stolen the fairy tale endings and has kidnapped the Fairy Queen. Hansel, Gretel and the Gingerbread Man are on a trek through the forest to find the Wicked Witch's house and to free the Queen and the fairy tale endings. Along the way they are aided by various traditional fairy tale characterswho are enlisted to help find the way. The really unique aspect of this play is the audience participation, so come prepared to have fun!
Performances are scheduled for July 16, 17, 23 and 24 at 7:30pm and July 18 and 25 at 3:00pm. Tickets are $10 and available in advance at Accentrics, Paul's Flower Shop and Delaune's Pharmacy. Tickets may also be ordered by calling the theater at (337) 364-6114 and leaving a message. Calls will be returned.
