Theatre--Auditions

Blaine and April Peltier sent this announcement regarding their upcoming productions of The Rocky Horror Show and Hedwig and the Angry Inch:

Auditions for the 2008 production of The Rocky Horror Show will be held on the last week of July at Cite des Arts (109 Vine Street). The audition piece is the first two verses of "Bat Out of Hell" by Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman. Hearing this song should give you an idea of the style and tone of the show this year. Copies of the material will be available to pick up at Cite des Arts very soon. Callbacks will be determined on your ability to sell THAT song. Anyone interested, however, is welcome and strongly encouraged to audition. There are at least ten roles to be cast. Some are gender-specific. Most are not. We are looking for singers with highly theatrical voices and on-stage personalities. This can be defined many ways. If you think you may have a "theatrical" voice/presence and are willing to have a REALLY GOOD TIME WORKING to make the show the best it can be, please come by and audition.


If you just want to help out backstage or with any part of The Rocky Horror Show process (costumes, props, set, etc.) please come to auditions and fill out a contact sheet. You will NOT need to audition, but we do need to see you there so we can find out what you're interested in and so you can get the job you want!

We and Cite des Arts are looking for musicians to play for Rocky as well as Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Payment will be involved and will be discussed. However, we are looking for artists with a passion for performing for a crowd and contributing to a show's success above people who are looking for a check. We will try to make the schedules as easy on your schedules as possible. We are trying to advance the status and improve the quality of live theatre in this region. Our actors DO NOT get paid for their time.

The Rocky Horror Show and Hedwig and the Angry Inch will perform simultaneously throughout late September and October.
