Theatre--Auditions

Audition notice for Hedwig And The Angry Inch:
Auditions will be held on August 11th and 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cite Des Arts in Lafayette. Hedwig And The Angry Inch will run in rotation with The Rocky Horror Picture Show in October and November at Cite des Arts. The two shows will rotate weekend nights through October.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

ANIMATORS and DIGITAL ARTISTS. Lots of Hedwig and the Angry Inch features animations: monologues, songs and images are animated and projected onstage during the show. Do you have a DVD of your work that the production staff can see?

ACTORS:
Hedwig--an East German boy lost in the US
Yitzhak--his dedicated roadie
The Angry Inch--Hedwig's Band and entourage

MUSICIANS:
We'd like to find an organized band willing to take the show on, but we are also prepared to field our own band. We have a bass player and a guitar player. We need a drummer and keyboard player.

AUDITION INFORMATION:
Hedwig--be prepared to sing a verse and chorus of "Tear Me Down" and "The Origin Of Love" and a rock and roll song of your choice.
Yitzhak--be prepared to sing "The Long Grift" and a rock and roll song of your
choice.
Musicians--the sheet music of these songs can be picked up at Cite Des Arts.
