Theatre--Performance

The Foundry Stage Company continues with their latest production, Eurydice, written by Sara Ruhl on Thursday, July 31st at 7:30pm. The Foundry is Lafayette's only theatre company run solely by high school and university students. They produce, design, direct and act in works by contemporary playwrights. Jarin Schexnider, a founding member of this company, returns to the Lafayette area to direct their latest production. Eurydice stars local Foundry members John Oliver, Sam Oliver and Rebecca Tharp.

Eurydice takes a modern spin on a classic myth of the ill-fated love between Orpheus and his bride Eurydice. This enchanting play does more than comment on the tragedy of love- it shines with it, illuminating the weight of remembering, and even more so of forgetting.
