The Cite Des Arts NEW VOICES PLAYWRITING CAMP begins this Monday, July 14th. The deadline for registering is this Saturday, July 12th.
NEW VOICES, led this year by local director/playwright Jarin Schexnider, is a two week-long theatre workshop that offers students hands-on lessons in the art and craft of making plays. Through writing exercises, improvisation, theatre games, and group work; students will dream up, develop, and write a one-act play. These plays are then worked and rehearsed, and compiled into an afternoon of theatre that is produced at Cité des Arts for the general public.
The camp is designed for students aged 10-16. No prior theatre or writing
experience is necessary.
WHEN: 1pm – 5pm, July 14 – July 26, 2008
